Acknowledgement of Country

The staff, children, families and wider community of Emma McLean Kindergarten and Daycare wish to acknowledge the traditional owners of the land on which we play and learn. 

We pay our respects to the Boonwurrung People of the Kulin Nation, and their Elders past, present and emerging. 

We acknowledge the strength and resilience of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, families and communities.

Emma McLean Kindergarten and Daycare ONLY caters to children aged between 3 and 6 years of age

Children must register for sessional kindergarten via the Hobsons Bay City Council Kindergarten Central Registration portal at https://kinders.hobsonsbay.vic.gov.au/Public/Login.aspx

The Kindergarten Central Registration Scheme has been developed to ensure that all local families have fair and equitable access to community managed kindergarten services in the municipality.

The scheme allows families to register for multiple services on the one registration form and facilitates the placement of children into funded three- and four-year-old kindergarten places. The scheme does not include funded kindergarten places in long day care. 

Long Daycare Spaces​

The Emma Mclean Kindergarten and Daycare also offer 3 and 4 year old long daycare in addition to sessional kindergarten.

Children who have a confirmed place in a sessional kindergarten program with us will be given priority to access to additional days in the long daycare program before other children on the waitlist will be considered. 

We strongly encourage you to apply at other services if you require extra days of care in addition to your sessional kindergarten days.

Applications for extra days of care in the long daycare programs can be submitted on or after the child’s 1st birthday and must be submitted before the 30th of June in the year prior to the child's eligible year of attendance.  Please use the Waitlist Application link below to apply for a long daycare place.
